Our Product

Founded in 2003, IET, Inc. developed its proprietary EcaFlo® Electro-Chemical Activation (ECA) technologies. All of the company’s products and services are sold under the umbrella brand name EcoTreatments™. We produce Excelyte® solutions containing hypochlorous acid for commercial and industrial disinfecting and sanitizing applications.

Excelyte® is an activated aqueous solution of sodium chloride produced by passing weak salt brine through an electrolytic cell and temporarily changing the properties of the salt water into a powerful oxidizing agent exhibiting highly effective antimicrobial properties.

How It’s Made

Our Excelyte® solution is made by temporarily modifying the properties of water into solutions which can be used to destroy microorganisms, neutralize chemical agents, purify water and clean surfaces.

Excelyte® is a powerful antimicrobial solution that is both biodegradable and non-accumulative. The key active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, is derived from naturally occurring salt minerals and water. Excelyte® is the most concentrated stable form of hypochlorous acid available.

Chemistry that is similar to the human cell is performed by the electro-chemical activation process in IET’s EcaFlo® equipment. A metastable mixture of compounds formed during cellular phagocytosis produces hypochlorous acid and is a very effective means for microbial destruction.  Excelyte® is a pH neutral disinfectant considerably more effective than bleach in surface disinfection.

How It Works

As a strong oxidizing solution, hypochlorous acid produces irreversible damage of essential functions of the microorganism’s biopolymers at the level of electron transmission. This process effectively destroys large systematic groups of microorganisms (bacteria, microbacteria and viruses) without damaging human tissues and other multi-cellular system organisms. When exposed to environmental conditions, Excelyte® quickly degrades into salt and water leaving no ecological footprint.

Excelyte® is a new generation disinfectant. It destroys super bugs and other harmful bacteria and viruses, aiding in the reduction of cross-contamination between treated surfaces  It kills on contact. Excelyte® is proven effective against many bacteria and viruses and has exhibited a 99.9999% kill rate including:

  • C. Diff
  • E. coli
  • Salmonella
  • MRSA
  • HIV-1
  • Pseudomonas
  • H1N1
  • Enterococcus faecalis (VRE)
  • Listeria monocytogenes
  • TB
  • Klebsiella pneumonia (NDM-1)
  • Staphylococcus aureus

Advantages

Excelyte® can be applied as a liquid, a spray, or dipped.

Awareness of the commercial and human cost of bacteria and viruses is at historic levels. Yet toxic solutions are increasingly forbidden.

Americans have become more environmentally conscious and are demanding healthier environments.

The EPA reports that exposure to pollutants can be up to 10 times higher indoors than outdoors; much of this due to use of conventional cleaning agents.

Businesses and the federal government are increasingly inserting “greening” language in solicitations with requirements that cleaning products used will cause minimal skin, eye, and respiratory irritation; are biodegradable and avoid use of undesirable or unnecessary dyes and fragrances.

In response to increasing market demand for a reliable source of “ready to use” disinfectant and sanitizing products, IET, Inc. made a strategic shift from selling EcaFlo® equipment, to selling large-scale consumable solutions. Excelyte® can be supplied at costs below competitive products in commercial markets. It has a broad spectrum of applications that address the needs in oil production, food sanitation, hospital disinfection.

To meet the needs of these markets, a Utah production facility; the first in a planned network of nationwide facilities to produce and distribute IET’s products has been opened. There has also been a recruitment of distributors and sales channels in its selected markets.
